Test Kitchen Tomato Soup

A synthetic test recipe for the Stir Crazy HomeView spike. Serves 4 · 35 minutes.

Ingredients

• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 yellow onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
• 2 cups vegetable broth
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 tsp salt
• 6 basil leaves

Steps

1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook 5 minutes.
2. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute, until fragrant.
3. Add the tomatoes, broth and salt. Simmer 20 minutes.
4. Blend until smooth, then stir in the cream.
5. Tear the basil over the top and serve hot.
